Laura Cohen - Executive Director

Laura was the primary care partner for her mom with dementia. She experienced firsthand the challenges of caring for a loved one. This role precipitated the desire to start the journey of creating and opening Bella Vita Assisted Living homes with her business partner Mark in 2019.

In 2021 Laura saw the need to offer specialized services at Bella Vita Assisted Living homes for those living with Parkinson’s. She collaborated with Parkinson’s experts to provide training for their caregivers, build a specific plan of care for Parkinson’s residents and create a safe and loving environment.

Laura’s role is two-fold. She focuses on identifying the right assisted living homes to invite into the Parkinson’s Care Network. Once, on board she will help them with marketing their Parkinson’s care approach.

​

She also assists care partners to help “match” them to the best assisted living home within the Parkinson’s Care Network based on their loved one’s care needs and location.
